WIKXY is an independent design, engraving and digital fabrication studio based in Stoke-on-Trent, UK.

I founded WIKXY in 2023, but the idea behind it started much earlier.

As a CNC engineer and programmer, I’ve always been fascinated by precision manufacturing, CAD design and the process of turning an idea into something real. Laser cutting, engraving and 3D printing naturally became part of that interest, with 3D printing beginning as a hobby and gradually developing into a genuine passion.

I especially enjoy designing useful, practical products and finding solutions to problems that can’t always be solved by something bought off the shelf.

Eventually, I decided to turn that passion into something more serious.

That’s how WIKXY began.

We live in a world full of inexpensive, mass-produced products designed to be quickly replaced. I wanted WIKXY to take a different approach.

When something is personalised for somebody, I believe it should feel special.

Whether it’s a leather keychain carrying an important date, a pet tag, a professional name badge, a corporate award or a completely bespoke piece, my goal is the same: to create something attractive, well-made and worth keeping.

I’m particularly demanding when it comes to visual appearance. Materials, proportions, alignment, engraving quality, finishing and presentation all matter to me.

Even the packaging is part of the experience.

Every item is personally inspected by me before it leaves the workshop. If I’m not happy with how something looks, I’d rather spend more time getting it right than send it to a customer.

Your Idea, Made Real

WIKXY isn’t limited to the products you see in our shop.

Our 3D printing and digital fabrication services work in three ways:

• Choose a product I’ve designed and developed myself.
• Send me your existing design or 3D model, and I can manufacture it for you.
• Bring me an idea or a problem, and I can help develop a custom solution from the beginning.

I particularly enjoy the third.

For bespoke projects such as display stands, shelves, cabinets, boxes and other custom products, I work directly with the customer throughout the process.

Where appropriate, I’ll discuss dimensions, materials and design details with you and share images during development. This allows us to make adjustments before the project is finished rather than simply hoping the final result is what you had in mind.

It’s a more personal way of working, but that’s one of the advantages of dealing with a small independent studio.

Precision Behind Every Product

My engineering background has a strong influence on how I work.

The WIKXY workshop combines CAD design, 3D printing and several laser technologies, including CO₂, blue diode and MOPA fibre laser systems.

Different materials require different processes. Rather than expecting one machine to do everything, I can select the technology best suited to the material and the result we’re trying to achieve — whether working with leather, wood, slate, coated materials or metals.

CAD is also an important part of the process. Layout, positioning, dimensions, spacing and alignment are checked before production begins.

But ultimately, the machines are only tools.

What matters is what comes out of the workshop: a product that looks right, feels right and does what it was designed to do.
